Proposing a Global Treaty Organization: A place for the expansion and protection of democracies

October 23, 2023 by Stephen Altschuler Leave a Comment

NATO has been successful in stopping the possibility of war in western Europe. But it has its limits. Take Ukraine for example. If Ukraine had belonged to NATO, Putin wouldn’t have invaded. Ukraine would have remained peaceful and prospering, a tourist destination. Instead, Russia has war-crimed Ukraine into destruction and holocaust.

Today we have other democracies that are threatened by its neighbors that could also use protection like the NATO alliance offers. Taiwan, Israel, Sweden, South Korea, Japan, and lesser known threatened democracies in Africa, and South and Central America.

The United Nations has not measured up to what was hoped for. It has no teeth to enforce its principles. Consequently it has devolved instead of evolved into a global organization that cannot prevent or stop unjust wars and incursions. Nor can it deter terrorism as we have just seen committed by Hamas in Israel. In fact some member countries seem to support this group that tortures, butchers, indiscriminately murders, and holds hostage innocent men, women, and children, and treats its own people with disdain by using them as human shields in military targets while its leaders lead lavish lives elsewhere.

I propose that an organization be formed that welcomes as its members any and all countries who have democratic and humane governments, who care for its people, have demonstrated a peace-loving, live and let live nature, who make an effort to combat global warming and climate change, who are tolerant of peace-loving ethnic and religious minorities, who honor all people such as LGBTQ, women, children, the disabled, and who strive to always advance the cause of basic human and civil rights, including the right to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, medical care, proper food, clothing, and shelter.

This GTO will have a substantial military force which includes any means to counteract threats that arise in any member democratic nation. As with NATO, an attack on any member nation is an attack on all and requires immediate intervention. NATO has thus far prevented wide scale war in Europe. The GTO will prevent war anywhere where democracy flourishes. And if a country veers away from democracy towards fascism, it may well be summarily voted out of the organization.

I don’t have all the answers as to how this organization will run. I am an older fellow and a mere harbinger. I hope to start a discussion around the efficacy of such a global organization. I feel it will deter what Putin is doing, for example. It will deter what Hamas just did. It will deter what Israeli settlers are doing in the West Bank. It will deter the threats of a Kim Jung Un. It will deter what China may do to Taiwan or is doing to its Muslim population. It will deter what Myanmar is doing to its citizens. And it will deter what is happening throughout the politically unsettled Africa.

Will it solve all problems throughout the world. No, of course not. But it might just make this a more democratic, more humane, more hopeful world. We are now at a crossroads. One way leads to fascism and oppression. Another way leads to democracy and freedom. And yet another way leads to apathy, anomie, ignorance, and a consequent totalitarian world not unlike that described in Orwell’s 1984 or that which Hitler would have created if he had been successful.

Which road will we take? The road of the Steve Bannons, the Donald Trumps, the Marjorie Taylor Greens, the Matt Gaetzs, the Jim Jordans, the MAGA cult, the Putins, the Xis, the Orbans, the Ron DeSantis’s, the animalistic road of Hamas? Or the road of the Liz Cheneys, the Cassidy Hutchinsons, the Joe Bidens, the Fani Willis’s, the Jack Smiths. The road of calumny or the road of courage. The road to peace and prosperity or the road to chaos and destruction.

A Global Treaty Organization. Think about it. Discuss it. Let’s make it happen. We sorely need it. We sorely do need it.

The Trump MAGAplan for ’24

October 20, 2023 by Stephen Altschuler Leave a Comment

No one wants to talk about this. No one. Not the press. Not Biden or Obama. Not any politician. Not the FBI or the CIA. Not the military. Not Trump, unless he gaffes about it at one of his rant rallies.

The very worrisome scenario I see coming is this: Trump has had a lot of time to plan what will transpire after November of 2024. He knows he will lose the election to Joe Biden. That doesn’t concern him, because as chief Maggot of the MAGA, he has decided well before the election that he will have enough support behind him to ignore the results of the election, something he tried to do in 2020 but was legally unable to do. Now he’s had plenty of time to figure out how to do that in 2024. As he does now, he will have the House of Representative in his back pocket. That is key, and he is fighting hard at present, with intimidations and threats aplenty, to make sure a right wing extremist is elected Speaker of the House. He’s already stacked the Supreme Court with his adoring lifetime lackeys. He has already trained his MAGA base to bark and bite with death threats against Trumpian traitors. Death threats against people and their families are a mob method of obtaining control over their avowed territory.

In Trump’s case, that is the entire country, if not much of the world. If nothing else, gaining power again will protect him against any current prosecutions and possible jail time. What happens is that people become afraid to speak up, as it is true today in China, Russia, Cuba, North Korea, Myanmar, etc. When ordinary people start going to jail, or even disappear, because they have spoken out against the government, others grow increasingly frightened and stop talking, even to those they trusted in the past. Free speech disappears. Fear of speaking or even thinking, takes over and a totalitarian state develops and metastasticizes. In the past, Mao, Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Brazil’s Military Junta, Salazar, and South African apartheid were examples of this.

Trump is presently working on this and has most of the MAGA Republican Party under his direction as a result. Most of them are afraid for their own or their family’s lives if they cross Don Donald.

However, there is hope. Trump is not a particularly intelligent semi-human being. He is an obvious narcissist. He is a megalomaniac. He has a personality disorder, probably several, including the infamous borderline personality disorder. He is a sociopath, worse than many I’ve seen when working in a state prison as a mental health counselor. Trump often miscalculates. He often crosses the line into early stage dementia. He misjudges the public mood. He panics when it comes to potential criminal convictions and possible jail time. He over-bullies. He’s keen on capital letters in his rant tweets. He rants at his rallies to the point of sounding ridiculous and almost deranged. I believe he will fail again if he attempts another treasonous takeover of the government by force. I don’t think he’s smart enough to correct the mistakes made at the first Jan. 6 dress rehearsal.

The scary part is that since we haven’t seen anything like a Donald Trump in the past, he may succeed. He almost succeeded in 2020, and since the pandemic, our people are in a state of malaise, of denial, of stupor, of i-don’t-want-to-hear-about-it, of malleability, of gullibility. Trump knows this. He knows too this is his last shot at a coup. It’s now or never. He knows, down deep, if he fails this time, he will die not long after. He’s fat, he’s elderly, he doesn’t eat healthy, his only exercise is riding around all day in a golf cart cheating at golf. The angel of death more than likely stalks him, seeing a very likely victim. And once he fails in 2024 and the ghost of his father whose constant voice from the grave reminds him to never be a loser, he knows a jail sentence is not far behind. And he knows that a lot of convicted convicts, traitors, politicians, con men, and frauds die in prison. The election of 2024 is, therefore, a matter of life or death for Donald Trump.

And, as a consequence, it is a matter of life or death for not only our country but of our beautiful planet Earth, and probably the human species. Trump cares only for his own welfare and not for anyone or anything else.

Solutions? I can’t just say vote for Democrats. Without a coalition style government, we need a two party system. But each party must play by the rules of democracy, which ultimately work only when each party puts country and its people before their own pocket books and power. It works when each party comes to consensus through compromise, respect, intelligence, and sacrifice. Mob tactics have no place in a democratic representative government. Only fascists run countries by fear and intimidation. History shows us they eventually crash and burn in chaos and disarray.

Trump and his MAGA cult represent the road to fascism and the destruction of our democracy. You and I can stop that march, but we must have the determined will if we are to find the way to the end of this dark MAGA tunnel.

A Brutal Massacre

October 9, 2023 by Stephen Altschuler Leave a Comment

The surprise attack of Hamas upon Israel must go down as one of the great crimes of history. It ranks with Putin’s attack on Ukraine. It ranks with Russia’s pogroms against the Jews. It ranks with Hitler’s invasion of Poland. It ranks with Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor. And it ranks with the United States attack upon Native Americans at Wounded Knee. Hamas terrorists engaged in wanton slaughter and kidnapping of Israel civilians and soldiers in a dawn air, sea, and land sneak attack on October 7th during the Jewish festive holiday of Sukkot. At the same time they launched thousands of missiles, supplied by Iran, at southern Israeli cities, villages, and kibbutzim.

Their motive? God only knows. But this terrorist group and Gaza governing agency has consistently professed hatred towards Israel and Jews, and whose only professed goal is to push the Jewish state into the sea and reclaim it for themselves.

Yes, the history of the region is complicated and the behavior of Jewish extremist settlers in the West Bank is often unconscionable. But nothing deserves what Hamas did to Israeli innocents this day, and continue to do with the dangerous holding of hostages that include women, children, infants, elderly, the disabled, and soldiers–held in houses they know the Israeli air force will bomb in retaliation.

Iran is complicit in this massacre and apparently helped plan and arm it. Iran too is opposed to Israel and has openly vowed for its destruction. Such is the world we now live in. Is there a way out? Is there a way to peace?

I propose that there is always a way to peace. But before there is a way to any goal, there must be a will to accomplish that way. And therein lies the problem, the dilemma, and time after time, the tragedies, as we now see again in another gross and grotesque form.

So to find a solution, the world must find a will that is agreeable to both parties. Extreme retaliation by Israel is inevitable but will accomplish as much as the U.S retaliation against Iraq and Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks which was little to nothing. They were more political than designed to solve any inherent problems. Yes, Hamas must be removed as the leadership of the Gaza Strip. They have no regard for the safety and welfare on the people there. But that is the responsibility of the Palestinian Authority. And again, it’s complicated.

The Biden Administration is fully backing Israel and is sending more weapons. That too is a political response, and is no real solution. The UN offers no viable solutions and in fact, has more than a few members who continue to support such terrorist groups as Hamas and Hezbollah. Solutions will not materialize on the floors of any government. They must take place in the back rooms of relevant governments, away from the media and the harsh, often misguided glare of social media.

And perhaps this atrocity may lead to the dissolution of Israel’s present extremist government of PM Netanyahu and his right wing Hassidic allies. That’s an important key to get this situation under control and back on track, if it is ever to do so. Netanyahu formed this destructive coalition to avoid prosecution for corruption, as his friend Trump is running for president again to eventually avoid conviction and possible jail time.

The political track we must return to is one that honors and fosters democratic rules and procedures, effectively opposing authoritarians who have a vested interest in the kind of Bannanistic chaos and destruction we have seen the past few days in Israel and Gaza.

Cassidy and Goliath

September 28, 2023 by Stephen Altschuler Leave a Comment

A modern-day David in the person of Cassidy Hutchinson is a national treasure who, I predict, will take down a modern-day Goliath in the person of Donald Trump. Cassidy is performing the same role that Alex Butterfield did in taking down another Goliath in the person of Richard M. Nixon in 1975. Watching this young woman speak the truth to power in the aftermath of January 6 restores my trust in the ability of America to rebound against the onslaught of Trump and Trumpism in the 20 teens and twenties. She is, as Butterfield was, believable, trustworthy, steady, and reliable. Her voice is clear, unwavering, and resonant, even in the ugly face of threats of death and violence–threats that Trump refused to discourage and, seemingly, encouraged. Cassidy Hutchinson is a true patriot. Donald Trump is a true traitor.

But Cassidy began her story by covering up the full truth. Trump lawyers told to just not tell the whole story, to tell just enough to get the congressional questioners off her back, to not tell all she knew about Trump and his Administration. And she saw a lot, an awful lot being the top aide to Mark Meadows, the powerful Chief of Staff of the White House for the last critical months of that particularly corrupt administration. But the chaos and violence of January 6, incited by Trump of which she was witness, convinced her that she absolutely had to tell the “whole truth and nothing but the truth.” But before she arrived at that truth she had gathered some equity in the fealty she owed to this President whom she at first admired, and she expected was truly making the country great again. A moderate New Jersey Republican, Cassidy was happy with her job and felt she was doing something positive for the country.

But that all changed after the election and the Stop the Steal movement, initiated by Trump and the fake elector scheme and the coup attempt on January 6. Cassidy began to see a different Donald Trump–an insecure, vindictive, vituperative, revengeful, totally self absorbed individual who was coming apart at the seams…quickly. But no one else in Trump World was speaking up. Others saw what was happening and saw the unraveling, but everyone-everyone–kept their mouths shut for fear the boss would become enraged and set his jackels upon them…as Cassidy at first felt as well.

Finally, after seeking out and actually meeting octogenarian Butterfield, she could no longer look herself in the mirror and feel comfortable with herself as a moral, conscious human being. If called to testify, she thought, she would answer every question truthfully, as our judicial system requires. And she did.

Now we have a perfect model of how a government employee needs to act in the service to his or her country. When you take an oath of office, it is a sacred oath, not to be flaunted or minimized or avoided. That holds true for police officers (officers in Uvalde Texas trampled their oaths in the dirt as they stood by and let Hispanic American children be slaughtered), doctors, teachers, civil servants, Congresspeople, mayors, and, yes, Presidents. Trump failed to adhere to the letter and content of his oath of office. Cassidy Hutchinson did not fail, and urges others in the same boat now to come forth and speak truth to power and threat.

And with that standard that this woman holds aloft, trust and honor is restored against fraud and deceit. And with that standard, lies and scams are exploded into smithereens. And with that standard held high by Ms. Hutchinson, a corrupt President is exposed for who and what he is: a misanthrope, a con man, a snake oil salesman, a de facto mafia boss, a charlatan, and someone undeserving to only not be President but not even be permitted to run for this honored office of the chief upholder of our democratic ideals.

Cassidy Hutchinson should give you ample reason not to vote for Donald Trump or any of his allies. You should buy her book, appropriately titled Enough, and inform yourself of the details of a coup that was in the making and the intended dismantling of our democracy, as Cassidy witnessed first hand. And you should direct others who you might suspect are Trump followers to buy Cassidy’s book and watch her TV appearances and podcasts to divest themselves of any illusions that Trump will in any way make this country great again. On the contrary. Quite on the contrary.

The Problem is Not Completely Donald Trump–or even any of the MAGAs…

September 26, 2023 by Stephen Altschuler Leave a Comment

The problem is the people who vote for them and send them money. Lots of money. Why wouldn’t Trump run again with all those bucks flowing in? That’s how he accumulated all his money. Trump is evil, but not stupid. Do what you love, the money will follow as the book in the 70s advised. Trump loves to misinform, deceive, stiff, blame, vilify, embarrass, grope, extort, threaten, inflame, and lie, and, yes, the money has followed. But,despite all his character flaws and snake oil salesman tendencies, people have and will vote for him again. Same thing with McConnell, McCarthy, Gaetz, Greene, Boebert, Jordan, and sheesh, they’ll probably elect Santos again. There are QAnon cultists who believe both John F. Kennedy and particularly his son John F. Kennedy Jr. who died in a plane crash with his wife in 1999, never died and are planning to return with the latter joining Trump on the ’24 ticket as his running mate–or some such hallucination. And they cannot be convinced otherwise, as a CNN reporter heard them say. They cite Jesus as an example of someone who is destined to return as well, although I believe they believe that he at least died first!

So this is what we’re dealing with. If Trump and his minions win, my wife and I are staying put and will continue to support the loyal opposition. But if the crazies start rounding people up with no due process, or shooting people at random (which is already happening), or targeting blacks or Moslems or Mexicans or Jews or Asians or the disabled or even just women, we’re out of here. Where, I don’t know yet, but we’ll ask for political asylum somewhere we consider safer and more democratic than here and try to get on a plane before the MAGA fascists close the borders “for national security purposes.”

How about you? Or have you had a nervous break which has led to an extended “news break?” I have friends who consider the news, any news, as toxic, and never watch it. Is that reasonable? I don’t think so. That’s what fascists want and encourage.

None of my books have been banned (darn it!) nor are they selling much but they can still be found on Amazon, at least until that heretofor nuclear war happens. My music however is doing quite well, and, in fact, is apparently going viral in West Africa. I think that is so cool. Word is going around there that a US guy’s music is vibing big time. Imagine, a Jewish kid from South Philly with the chutzpa to call himself a professional songwriter is writing music that black folk whose ancestors essentially involuntarily built America on their enslaved and whipped backs are now enjoying and buying songs by this white American 77 year old. Wonder of wonders/Miracles of miracles, as Tevya would say.

You can find my tunes–ballads, indie folk, rock, country, other genres not yet agreed upon–on Spotify, YouTube, Apple, and just about any of the streaming services. They’re free, but hurry– maybe not for long. Just type in my name to any available search box.

Stopping Teflon Don Once and For All

August 21, 2023 by Stephen Altschuler Leave a Comment

Back in January 2022, I wrote the following in a post entitled “The 14th and 15th Amendments.”

“It would also seem to me that the 14th Amendment would effectively block Donald Trump from ever again running for any public office in America. He instigated an insurrection against our government, as the House Commission will soon show with undeniable evidence (and which I saw, along with many of us on TV, as vividly as some of us saw Jack Ruby shoot Lee Harvey Oswald in a Texas police basement in 1963 on national TV!). This probably won’t lock Teflon Don up, but, according to this Amendment to our Constitution, should conclusively prevent him from ever seeking public office again. I realize the amendment was aimed at Southern secessionists at the time, but it does not limit it to them, opening it up to any future insurrectionists like Trump.”

It’s taken awhile but a group of Constitutional scholars has finally caught up to me, and put out a press release calling for exactly the same action to be taken against citizen Donald John Trump. Some Trumpsters still assert that the 14th Amendment only applies to the Confederacy and those high ranking officers and politicians who initiated the insurrection. But that is not true. The legal experts, including conservative retired Federal judge J. Michael Lutig, agree that the Amendment, as do all amendments to our Constitution, applies to circumstances now as much as they did when first enacted. You’d have to formally and legally annul an amendment to cancel it.

And, as was the case with Confederate generals and politicians, you don’t need a court conviction to prove participation in an insurrection. With Trump, all you need is a video tape of his speech before the January 6th onslaught where he called for violence against Mike Pence and, knowing there were firearms in the audience, a march on the Congress to stop the Electoral College vote that was taking place that day.

Actually, any director of elections in any state can remove any candidate from the ballot, thereby preventing them from running for any public office, for such a violation of the 14th Amendment, in my understanding. Red state, blue state. Battleground state. Whatever. And once one state does this, other states can, and more than likely, will follow suit.

As our planet is currently enmeshed in a global climate emergency, we are also faced with a potential political emergency if Donald Trump is again elected President. Out of empathy, I will spare you the justification for that statement. Much of what I’ve written on such reasons needs no further embellishment. Trump is a menace to our country, our civilization, our humanity, and our planet. Period.

He will be stopped eventually, I believe, via the current indictments and court cases against him. But, because of his chronic delaying tactics over court dates, he must be also be stopped politically via our clear Constitution. And the 14th Amendment, if applied as written, can do just that, and do that finally and definitively.

Please sign whatever petition, call whatever politician, write whatever letter to the editor, talk to whatever political influencer, donate whatever money is needed to make that happen, and make that happen before the Republican National Nominating Convention in the summer of next year.

Thanks. Sending thoughts of love and peace to all of you on this fair and beautiful planet.

Hitching The Wrong Horse to the Wagon

August 8, 2023 by Stephen Altschuler Leave a Comment

The people who vote for Donald Trump are people who feel forgotten but have hitched their wagon to a man who has little to no concern for their welfare. The only common thing they share is the fear that the face and future of America is changing and spinning out of their control. Race, religion, gender identity, same sex marriage, education. America today looks different than America of 1955 or ’62, and Trump voters are not happy about this and looking to their man to stem the tide. Trump has sensed their discontent and plays upon it well. His rallies are side shows of rambling rhetoric, lies, distortions, mockeries, character assassinations, anything that he knows will stir those juices of hatred, bigotry, frustration, and deep resentment.

His voters are predominantly white, Christian evangelical, straight, rural, and non college educated. Trump cares little for them but has them believing he was on their side and would go to bat for them. It’s tough going upriver with just a canoe and a paddle and that how their lives feel. Trump seemingly speaks their language as he constantly skewers coastal elites, which includes all Democrats in his mind, with his rants about woke culture.

In 2020, Trump amazingly won three times more counties countrywide than Biden who still won the election. Why? Biden’s counties had far more economic clout than Trump’s. That should alarm us all as we creep closer to November, 2024. Nothing much has changed since 2020, at least perception wise, with Trump actually leading Biden in national polls at present. This despite Trump’s facing several serious criminal indictments. Thing is our Constitution didn’t anticipate a presidential candidate being an indicted defendant in a criminal proceeding so they didn’t bother including a clause covering this possibility.

So this brings us to the present possibility of a criminal, convicted of defrauding the American people, being elected president of the United States. Now I have spent a career treating people with serious depression, which I know causes them to generally make bad decisions. So Trump, a narcissistic sociopath and liar could be the leader of a country voted in by predominantly manic depressive people in total denial of their condition. Couple that with our current crises of climate change with carbon emissions increasingly choking us into submission, the advent of authoritarian right wing extremist politicians worldwide, extensive poverty and oppression leading to a crisis in immigration, the mass extinction of glaciers, bees, and birds, insane terrorist wars headed by Russia’s attempt at genocide in Ukraine, an increasingly totalitarian China, and forget about an asteroid wiping out civilization, it’s more likely to be an inside job.

There are efforts afoot to solve these problems, but Trump categorically is against all of them, having succeeded in convincing his followers that he can just turn the clock back to a time when white Christian men ran a very efficient country. A time I guess back to about 1850 or so.

So we, and the rest of the world, are potentially in quite a pickle it seems, to coin a phrase. I could end this screed right here and leave you all hanging from the skin of your teeth. And it is tempting since I haven’t the vaguest idea how to solve this approaching trauma. But solve it we must if we are to survive as a species. Yet, we have solved major problems before using our advanced brains to make decisions leading more to our benefit than our demise. The proof lies in the fact that we are still here, though our prognosis is not favorable. In the past, scientists, engineers, politicians, educators, doctors, even writers, artists, and musicians put their collective heads together and helped our species carry on.

There were individuals who tried to block those efforts like Hitler, Stalin, Putin. And now there is Donald Trump. Are we to allow yet another madman get in the way of our ability to advance our species to the next level of evolution?

That is entirely up to all of us, and our ability to acknowledge that we are a nation of laws, of democratic ideals, and of equality and justice for all. So yes, I will stop here. Besides, it is my bedtime and time to clear my mind of such miasma so I can sleep.

And that reminds me, I haven’t plugged my book in quite a while. Beating Insomnia: A No-Nonsense Way to Natural Sleep, available at Amazon. It will show you how to improve your sleep without medication. For we’ll need good sleep to cope with what is coming.

Idiots

July 8, 2023 by Stephen Altschuler 5 Comments

Such is the label Liz Cheney ascribed to legislators of her own party voters send to Congress and state legislatures. Idiots. I extend that same label to the Republican voters who sent them there. Idiots. I add it also to some of the sorry crop of present Republican presidential candidates and will add two Democratic candidates to the list of idiots, namely Robert F. Kennedy Jr., son of Bobby Kennedy who ran for president in 1968 until he was gunned down, and Marianne Williamson whose only motive is one of ego and advancing her brand. And of course, I will include, without doubt, the present murder of conservative crows on our Supreme Court, who are in the process of setting back our country some 100 years or so.

Only one candidate, though not perfect, stands out as decidedly not an idiot: Joe Biden, our current president who has done an admirable job in his first term, particularly given all the GOP obstruction. Biden has put our economy back on track, has realigned us with our allies, and has reasserted our dedication to democracy after Trump and his Republican puppets Putinized and Orbanized it.

Now the GOP, growing ever more desperate for independent voters are pushing a specious narrative that climate change is a hoax, perpetrated by the Democrats in order to advance Biden’s agenda. The only hoax is the Republican agenda itself, of which I go back to an old TV commercial and ask, “Where’s the beef?”

The idiots who comprise most of the Republican Party are prime examples of the Buddha’s characterization of what drives most unenlightened, aka unwoke, human beings: greed, hatred, and delusion. And I will add power to that witches brew. Their concerted campaign against LGBTQ people is despicable, as are their attacks on same sex marriage, a woman’s right to make decisions around her own body, the constitutionally guaranteed rights of trans-gender people, and the rights of government agencies to regulate practices that affect worker’s health, environmental integrity, and food and drug safety. The rights for all of us to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (including our children in classrooms). The present manifestation of the MAGA GOP, cares not for the welfare of our people, our economy, our health, and the health of our beautiful and fragile planet.

So what’s to be done about this idiocracy? Obviously we need to vote the idiots out. We need to donate campaign funds to candidates who care more about the country’s and the planet’s well being than their own portfolios of power. As for the Supreme Court, I suggest President Biden in his second term, assuming he is reelected and the Democrats keep control of the Senate and regain control of the House, add four more justices–all, without shame, dyed-in-the-wool liberals–bringing the total to 13.

All of the above will help right the ship. Without haste, Trump needs to be tried and convicted and jailed, removing this creepy clown from the political scene once and for all. The DOJ needs to declare white supremacy groups terrorist organizations. We need to enact common sense gun regulations. Ukraine even be more heavily armed in its brave battle with Russia and needs to be admitted to NATO, so NATO can enter into the war. If we had NATO in 1939, Germany would’ve have been stopped at its border with Poland, the Holocaust would never have happened, and the lives of countless soldiers (and civilians), who today would be bouncing their grandchildren on their knees, would have been spared.

And one more thing: With its racist history of slavery, Jim Crow laws, relatively recent lynchings, discriminatory practices, immigration injustices, and confiscation of indigenous lands, America needs to come to terms with the effects of this history on present day citizens and figure out how to compensate them for our blatant injustices and cruelties. We have people of great intelligence, great compassion, great understanding, and a great realization that “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” We also, to a person, regardless of color, creed, or content of character would agree with the ancient axiom to treat others as we would like to be treated. With the will and the way, we can determine what reparations mean in the 2020s.

Stay awake, woke, and alert, y’all. Don’t let the bastards and the idiots get you down. We can stop these cultists from taking over our great country.
