I am reposting this account to tell you what is actually happening in Gaza, instead of the crap you hear from the media and the pro Palestinian/anti-semite protesters. Here is the truth. Hamas must be destroyed. They are evil personified.

You likely didn’t see these particular images in the news. My son, a Reserves IDF combat photographer, took these photographs himself at Shifa Hospital, in Gaza, this week. You can see Israeli soldiers carefully helping the #UN teams to evacuate the premature babies, in incubators donated by Israel.
What you cannot hear, is the constant sound of gunfire in the background, as Hamas tried to prevent their tiniest human shields from being taken to safety.
You cannot know the Israeli teams’ complicated, determined efforts to keep these babies safe, by removing them from a “hospital” used by Hamas as a military command and control center, which still contains hidden tunnels and booby traps.
It is important to note that for weeks, the UN, WHO, Red Cross and other humanitarian organizations refused to help evacuate the hospital when it was controlled by Hamas, who used it as a base to launch their October 7 massacre. As long as Hamas controlled the hospital, these “humanitarians” were too afraid to challenge Hamas’ use of baby human shields by moving them to safety.
Only when Israel successfully managed to take control of the hospital, without harming the patients or medical staff that Hamas had hoped would be killed, did the “humanitarian” organizations finally have the guts to get involved.
Let’s face it, humanitarian organizations can only function in Gaza if they accede to Hamas, hence UNRWA’s adoption of blatantly anti-peace, anti-Israel educational materials in their schools, their acceptance of using humanitarian facilities like schools and hospitals to store weapons and hide terrorists, and hence their complete and utter abandonment of Israeli hostages.
Why didn’t the UN demand that at the same time as evacuating the Gaza babies, Hamas lets them evacuate the Israeli babies they are holding hostage? “Proportional Measures” and all that. Because, as they well know, Hamas would much prefer that Gaza babies die than release Israeli babies.
Just as they are too afraid to make a real attempt to even visit, let alone evacuate, the Israeli babies that Hamas kidnapped to Gaza.
Which is why, this week, in the middle of a warzone, Israeli soldiers risked their lives to stand out in the open in Gaza City, tenderly moving tiny Gazan babies into ambulances, even as they wished with all their hearts that they were shuttling Israel’s kidnapped children to safety too.

Stephen — This is interesting, informative, and helpful. However, it doesn’t change my reaction that until you can convince me the only way to eliminate Hamas is to kill every Palestinian living in Gaza, I can’t accept the Israeli attitude toward this war or the message in your header. I am neither pro-Palestinian nor anti-semite because of this attitude, and I believe it reflects the feelings of most of the persons protesting in this country and elsewhere. To me, it is much like the abortion issue in our country — I am neither pro-abortion because I think a woman should have the right to an abortion nor pro-life because I think abortion is wrong. Most of these great issues have two sides and it does no good to label the other side inaccurately without accepting the validity of their concerns just because one disagrees with them.
Thanks for your comment, but how many hairs must you split. Hamas is evil. Hamas raped, tortured,murdered, and kidnapped mothers and their babies, along with their grandparents, on October 7. Hamas now uses Palestinian children as shields against Israeli retaliation. Hamas puts its operation headquarters in the basement of a major hospital and then blames Israel for killing patients. Hamas runs a totalitarian state, stating its primary goal is the destruction of Israel. If you are protesting in favor of the Palestinians or even believe anything you hear from Hamas, there’s really no getting around it: You are anti-semitic. And with your last name you should be ashamed: Whether you are still Jewish or not, our ancestors were patrons of the Old Synagogue in Prague.
Hamas controls the Gaza Health Ministry, along with every other government agency in Gaza, which puts out the death toll of Palestinian civilians. The figures are suspect to say the least. Israel does its best to avoid civilian casualties, but with Hamas in charge, that’s very hard to avoid. Hamas must be destroyed and stopped from governing Gaza. And, importantly, every single hostage must be returned to Israel safe and unharmed. What should Israel do, sit on its hands as the world seems to want, and let those hostages rot in Hamas tunnels? Please, read my three pieces on this war again and try to understand where I’m coming from.
